t’s Ladies Day in Texas!

  Leave the guy’s and kids at home! This is an introductory firearms safety and training course in a casual small group environment; not a marksmanship class or tactical course. Taught by a Texas Female Certified Firearm Instructor.  In-depth safety principles are stressed including rules for safe gun handling, pistol parts, operations, ammunition, range rules, shooting from various positions. Great for first time gun owners.  This class is more fun when taken with friends!
 

Students provide 50+ rounds of ammunition and eye/ear protection. Minimum .22mm caliber pistol; firearm rentals are available upon request.

This is a LADIES ONLY class focused on achieving the proper knowledge, skills, and attitude, for the Texas Concealed Carry Weapons Permit License (Texas CHL License). We suggest you attend the Ladies ONLY Basic Pistol Class prior to attending this course if you have never shot or are unfamiliar with a firearm. This course is extremely focused on the law and the justified use of a firearm - this is not a basic pistol course. If you need basic training, attend the Basic Pistol Class before attending this one.

The NRA Basic Instructor Training opens with an exercise on How to Introduce a Speaker designed as an icebreaker. You will also be asked to complete an instructor certification examination. A minimum score of 90 percent is required for certified instructor applicants (85 percent for assistant and apprentice instructor applicants). Days 2 and 3 are the discipline-specific days, and will begin with the Pre-Course Qualification described. Students will be required to demonstrate proper safe gun handling of a pistol attending 16 hours of training. Students will learn to shoot effectively with one hand, using the dominant hand and/or the non-dominant hand.
